Disney’s famous fan expo, D23, is just around the corner and the company is already giving us a preview of what’s in store. The event is always a highlight in the calendar of every Disney fan and this year is no exception.
Friday August 23rd
Taking place between August 23rd and August 25th, we have all the latest on what to expect from the Film and TV side of the presentations.
The first day of D23 is always really special and that’s especially true for this year’s instalment. On Friday Disney is kicking events off with their usual presentation, where legends are honoured for their contributions to the company. The afternoon is when things really get interesting though.
The house of mouse is rolling out another look at their streaming platform, Disney+ for fans to experience. In their official preview, Disney have said that they will show content from brand new programming and films, including Lady and the Tramp, The Mandalorian and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Expect there to be some trailers appearing online at the very least, as we know that The Mandalorian has one edited together already!
There will also likely be a look at some of the non-fiction content that will be on offer that are sure to delight fans at D23. We can only hope that we get a peek at the Imagineering documentary!
Saturday August 24th
The second day of the event is the biggest for movie fans! The expo will be taking a look at all of the major studios and what they have in store. This includes: Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, PIXAR, Marvel Studios and LucasFilm.
Walt Disney Studios will be resetting by the time we get to the event. By August Aladdin would have been in cinemas for a while and The Lion King would have already been released. We’ll probably get to have a look at brand new content like Mulan, Jungle Cruise, Artemis Fowl and of course Maleficent. We bet we’ll even see a trailer for the Chinese fairy tale.
Over at Walt Disney Animation Studios there’s also a lot happening. Frozen 2 will be at the top of the priority list, with another trailer inbound. There’s also quite a few release dates that have untitled Disney animated films linked to them, so we may be getting confirmation on some of those; whether they are original productions or sequels to hits like Zootopia.
PIXAR is in a similar position. Everyone is eager to learn more about their next offering, Onward. Past that though is anyone’s guess and we’ll hopefully get to hear more about their future lineup, or maybe even some of the programming they’ve got coming to Disney+ like their Monsters Inc series.
Marvel Studios is at a real turning point in their history. With Phase 3 over after Spider-Man: Far From Home and lots of plans for what’s to come, be sure to stay tuned for huge announcements. We’ll get to hear more about upcoming projects like Black Widow, Shang-Chi and The Eternals and we’ll hopefully get a look at something we’ve never even heard about! On top of that, expect for Disney+ talk in regards to series like WandaVision and Loki.
We couldn’t forget about LucasFilm which is gearing up for another huge release. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the final part of the newest trilogy and we barely know anything about it. We’re sure we’ll get to see the cast again and perhaps be able to view another trailer for the blockbuster. On top of that maybe there’s some teases as to what’s in store for the future in both film and TV! Here’s hoping we get even more Clone Wars related content.
So there we have it, a complete run down of all the movie and TV news we’re expecting to hear from D23. We have no confirmation yet on if we’ll be getting anything related to FOX, but Disney may be saving that for Comic Con, or will feed it into other presentations such as Marvel’s.
What do you think of our preview? Have we missed anything? Leave your thoughts in the comments below, or on social media.

June 7, 2019D23 has announced the future launch sequence of Disney+! It’s the moment the Disney Vault is unlocked forever! It’s also like all of the hero characters going on adventures without being confronted by all the villain characters since they were all defeated before the endings of both the solo films and the franchise films. It’s everything in the Disney collection! It’s the whole entire Disney collection! It’s all of Walt Disney’s dreams come true! It also could change the viewings of TV forever. It could discontinue Disney XD, and speed to finish up Disney Channel and Disney Junior! That may also end those channels just like Toon Disney and Jetix along with Disney’s 1 Saturday Morning, Disney’s 1 Too and ABC Disney!

June 7, 2019I would also like for D23 to have a talk/planning/scheduled plot sequence/recaption show called Disney Postmark. It will feature four hosts who are the most recognized and will be the operating cast of it. The hosts of that show will be, here they are by their names: John Lasseter; the officer of all Disney creations and Pixar’s most talented artist and scientist, Emma Watson; the most beautiful actress in the world; she played Hermione Grainger in all eight Harry Potter films, Ila in Noah, a technology organizer in The Circle and Belle in the live-action Beauty and the Beast, Debby Ryan; another most beautiful actress in the world, she played Bailey Pickett in The Suite Life On Deck and Jessie Prescott in Jessie, and Benedict Cumberbatch; one of the greatest low-voice actors in the world, he played Classified in Penguins of Madagascar, Smaug and one of the Orc Warrior Leaders in the second and third films in The Hobbit trilogy, Dr. Stephen Strange and The Grinch. For all of that show’s broadcastments, John Lasseter will be dressed up in his resort outfit like in The Pixar Story, Emma Watson will be dressed up in her yellow ballgown from the live-action Beauty and the Beast, Debby Ryan will be dressed up in her red prom gown from two episodes of Jessie and Benedict Cumberbatch will be dressed up like Stephen Strange with the flapjack uniform and magic cloak from the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the film of his name which was his first appearance and the last two Avengers films.

June 7, 2019My villain character, Australian wizard, Althorn, will be voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. My normaliteer character, English illustrator and once-tourist commissioner, Drayton Peddlestocke will be voiced by Emma Watson. John Lasseter and Debby Ryan are American. Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch are English.

June 9, 2019I can also send my professional image ideas to the Expo itself for the Disney character picture facility to be surprised about. This is because I saw all the characters on every merchandise product and clothing.

June 9, 2019DSNY Newscast ought to be partners, friends, comrades with D23 Expo and The Walt Disney Company. If that decision succeeds, all opinions given to it can be cherished and accepted and all ideas given to it can be turned into a reality if they too, were also cherished and accepted. Since the living costumes of Mickey Mouse and his lady love, Minnie Mouse had both their faces moving like both cartoon characters and real-life people; like they were brought to life, that’s one of the main reasons why I wanted all living amusement park entertainers in costumes shaped like the characters replaced with living animatronics in the forms of those characters (they will be programmed to do anything a living person would do by word and action and interest and personality and they will still contain the same personalities from the movies where the characters are from and their voices will be original and modern by exact like those characters in the movies; first the young appearance, then the old appearance). It’ll also be identical to those classic Disney Parks commercials. What if there was also a Disney documentary film about the late DisneyToon Studios and a Disney documentary film about the Walt Disney Animation Studios, and a Disney documentary film about the birth of the Disney Parks, Castaway Cay, Aulani Resort and Spa and the four Disney Cruise Ships.

June 9, 2019With Disney+ on the line, we won’t need to watch the videocassette tape, DVD, Blu-Ray Disc and 4K Ultra releases of all those movies anymore. It’s like moving on from horses to ships and trains and moving on from ships and trains to cars, trucks, vans, buses, limousines, boats and planes. England doesn’t outgrow steam trains.

June 16, 2019Except it has already been said that controversial media like Song of the South and the original Dumbo will either be edited significantly, or not uploaded to the platform altogether.

June 9, 2019I could make a montage of the greatest of my ideas for the Disney Universe by the ships, parks and expo to be excited by.

June 9, 2019I also hope to work at Disney World to begin that persuasion. It’ll become a successful accomplishment.

June 22, 2019I took notice of both The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under together on a Blu-Ray Combo Pack. They both play consecutively on the Blu-Ray Discs! And the front cover of both of them together is perfect for that proof! I could make covers similar to that one of both Rescuers movies for the rest of the movie duos, trilogies and expanded franchises, but only after they are all complete; most already are. They will all be modernized like the classic movies from last century in the new-fashioned versions of them on the covers from the anniversary edition to the diamond edition to the all-newest Walt Disney Signature Collection Edition. They can be the chronological storylines of all the movies from the prequels to the originals to the sequels to the continuous TV show episode series and holiday specials to the finales. And also like both Rescuers films on that collection cover of the Blu-Ray Combo Pack they were made into, all the other movie collections will have all the characters from all those movies right on their covers. They will all be perfect, no matter what their designs look like. I promise they will all work and be great.
