The 91st Academy Awards will air on ABC tonight [at 8:00 PM Eastern|5:00 PM Pacific].
As Hollywood celebrates a year of amazing movies, The Walt Disney Company has an unprecedented number of nominations.
Eight Disney films from are up for “Oscars” tonight, which rounds out to 17 total nominations.
Leading the charge for The Walt Disney Company is Marvel’s Black Panther, a film that earned seven nominations including the biggest prize of the night, “Best Picture.”

Mary Poppins Returns also received a few nominations including “Best Original Song” for “Where the Lost Things Go”.
This evening, the heartfelt ballad will be sung by a Disney favorite, Bette Midler.
The other Disney works nominated Academy Awards include: Ralph Breaks the Internet, Incredibles 2, Christopher Robin, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Avengers: Infinity War, and the Disney/Pixar short, Bao.
