The holidays are over and the celebration is done. It is time to return to work and school with hopes of keeping our New Year’s resolutions and making 2019 one
However, Bob Iger, Bob Chapek, and Mickey Mouse (of course) are raising their glasses and looking forward to 2019 to be the year of Disney.

Little princesses (and princes) will flock to see Frozen 2 in November and Pixar will try to tug on our heartstrings one more time with Toy Story 4.
Disney will again use nostalgia to propel us to the theater as three classic cartoons become live-action remakes: Dumbo, Aladdin, and The Lion King.
Finally, perhaps the most anticipated movie of the year, Star Wars: Episode IX, will hit cinemas in December.
By just reviewing these titles briefly, it can be soundly predicted that several of these movies will join the billion-dollar club.

The momentum and excitement building for this land began all the way back at the 2013 D23 Expo where large crates were set up teasing that Imagineering was working on something related to Star Wars.
As we wait to experience the 14-acre land of Batuu, insiders confirm we can scarcely imagine the immersion and

This fall, Mickey will finally be receiving his own dark ride attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Mickey’s Runaway Railway. This original attraction will utilize the trackless vehicle technology while transporting guests through the animated world of Mickey Mouse.
Other additions to the parks will include resort hotels at Walt Disney World and new nighttime spectaculars at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Inside Out’s “Emotional Whirlwind,” and Jesse’s “Critter Carousel” will be added to Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, and much more…
Disney will also alter the landscape of streaming as Disney+ launches later this year. This brand-new streaming service is anticipated for its slate of new and original content.
This includes series based in the world of Star Wars with The Mandalorian and a prequel series to Rogue One. Marvel will also be debuting original content with series based on the characters of Loki starring Tom Hiddleston and Scarlet Witch starring Elizabeth Olsen.
Other original content confirmed is a Monsters Inc. series, a new High School Musical series, and a live-action Lady and the Tramp.
Not only will Disney+ provide us with broad content, but it will transform the entertainment industry as it looks to compete with Netflix. It will entice audiences to subscribe with both new content and classic movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, and 20th Century Fox.
Finally, in August, Disney fans will gather to celebrate everything Disney at the 2019 D23 Expo in Anaheim.
It is expected that major announcements will be made at the Expo such as more information on the Epcot overhaul, Marvel Land at Disney California Adventure, and new projects for Pixar, Disney Animation, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.
As the new year begins, we have much to look forward to as Disney fans.
From the movies to the parks, there’s something for everyone to be excited about. It’s looking like Mickey’s 90th will be an exceptional year, so it will be an extraordinary year for us, too!
