The following story is ALL (potential) spoilers…
I mean, heavy, deep-into-the-whammy-bin theory and speculation.
Still here? Good.
So, like you (presumably) I am sitting here waiting for Star Wars: Episode IX.
And now, after that jump, we’ve (also presumably) shaken anyone averse to spoilers, let’s get into it…
Two words: Darth. Vader.
Yes, Sith speculation is in the ether, as the Star Wars canon comics continue to explore the meaning behind Vader’s castle (as first seen in Rogue One).
Thankfully, one of my favorite YouTubers broke down that speculation into some fairly reasonable (and long story short) theory.
Alex Damon, from Star Wars Explained wrote:
Is Darth Vader really trying to resurrect Padme? What exactly does Momin mean when he says he can see his wife again? Today we speculate and the final three issues of the Darth Vader comic by Charles Soule.

Well, hold my blue milk.
Asked about Kylo Ren — Darth Vader’s grandson — in a recent interview with Vulture, specifically as to why the character is interesting, Adam Driver was very, very vague.
“That’s hard to say because we’re working toward something in particular with that character,” he said. “I don’t want to give anything away.”
So. We’ve got this castle. On Mustafar. A castle built (probably) for communing with the dead or at least the Dark Side. And we see it once; for five minutes in a nearly unrelated film. And it’s built on or near the spot where
Then, much later, we’ve got this emo guy: Kylo – Vader’s kin. Wearing all black. Who carries around Darth Vader’s mask. And talks to it. Yep, he
See where I am going here?
And yes, I totally acknowledge the current Mike Zeroh theory (heavy on the “zero”) adjacent to my thinking and logic.
However, it doesn’t take the biggest leap in the world to believe that where there’s fire (Mustafar), there’s well, fire, and certain other spectral entities.
Heck, every Corellian Hound has its day.
Now, there is a video which illustrates the logic of the thought pretty succinctly, but — much like any “leaked” script or scene — must be taken with a heavy dose of…
So, here’s the New Rockstar’s vid/breakdown, with a really cool analysis of salt-laden would-be script.
Star Wars Episode 9 Leaked Scene with Darth Vader and Kylo Ren! As we wait for a Star Wars Episode 9 trailer, what news comes from this leaked Episode IX scene description, depicting Kylo in a “Force dream” (similar to Rey’s dream in The Force Awakens) revisiting the moment Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader in Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Erik Voss explains what this scene could mean for the story of Episode 9 (coming December 2019) and how it connects to The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and the other previous Star Wars films.
For once, I hope this leak is the real deal; mostly because it offers one true path to the (at least partial) redemption of Kylo Ren – who might just be the last of the Skywalker line.
Given that Rian Johnson himself said, “One of my favorite shots of the movie, is those two fingers touching. That’s the closest thing we’ll get to a sex scene in a Star Wars movie…”
I just can’t deal with Rey falling for a pure villain.
In any case, what do you think? Is there any logic to my thinking? How about the leaked script? Are you wishing that Star Wars: Episode IX were debuting this December?
