Following a very successful debut for Ralph Wrecks the Internet, and
Disney’s official synopsis explained:
Disney’s The Lion King opens in theatres July 19, 2019. From Disney Live Action, director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock.
What a first look! And I love the first poster, too.
But the original The Lion King wasn’t my generation of Disney films, which tended toward Treasure Island, Swiss Family Robinson, and some of the animated classics like Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians.
So, it doesn’t bother me to see the successful director of The Jungle Book reboot take a stab at Simba and the gang.
