This Holiday Season at Disneyland Paris is going to be a little different from usual, yes the Christmas decorations will adorn Main Street USA, the Christmas Tree will be placed in the Town Square and the magical Disney Christmas Parade will make it’s way through the park… but this year it will also be about celebrating 90 years of Mickey Mouse.
The reason for this slight marketing manoeuvre is because Mickey’s birthday falls on November 18th, which is slap-bang in the middle of the Holiday season for Disneyland Paris, which takes place between November 10th 2018 to January 6th 2019.
Now judging from the press release which we have including excerpts of below, the traditional Christmas festivities don’t seem to be too different from what has been available in previous years, however there is the addition of “Mickey and his PhilharMagic Orchestra” at the Discoveryland Theatre, and more importantly, a new show called “A Surprise for Mickey!”. So it seems that Disneyland Paris are fusing together these dual events for a seasonal one-time only celebration of “A Very Merry ChrisMouse”.
However, here is a summary of all the festivities available throughout the seasonal period:
New show: A surprise for Mickey!
It’s time to celebrate 90 years of fun with Mickey Mouse with an interactive show taking place several times a day. Will Minnie be ready on time or will she have to ask her friends – or even the audience – to help her give Mickey an unforgettable surprise?
This Very Special Birthday Surprise Is Going Online Too, Because Guests Will Be Invited To Share A Special Message For Mickey Mouse On Their Social Media Beforehand, Using The Hashtag #surprisemickey. Their Message Might Even Appear During The Show As An Extra Surprise For Mickey. What Better Way Of Making This A Truly Memorable Anniversary Celebration?

Mickey’s Magical Christmas Light” – Tree Lighting Ceremony
There’s nothing quite like the moment the Christmas tree lights are switched on at Disneyland Park. And it’s not just any old tree – this one is 24 metres tall and will be switched on by magic at an event attended by Mickey, Minnie and Santa himself!
A Merry Stitchmas

“Mickey’s Big Band Christmas”
Following its first sensational season, “Mickey’s Big Band Christmas” will be setting up at Animagique Theatre at Walt Disney Studios Park. This live show is the perfect combination of a traditional musical and typical Disney.
