In this fast paced news environment, it’s very easy to allow hearsay and rumours to blur lines between truth and assumption, and unfortunately it seems as if the reports from last week fell into this arena.
As there was a very good reason why I originally put “reportedly” in the original article from 21st September. And that’s because its only correct to treat something as unconfirmed, until it isn’t.
As now WDW Magic are reporting that Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the Wildlife Express Train will be returning sometime in 2019. Thus meaning that the attraction and area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close on October 21, 2018, but this closure will not be permanent.
For many who watch DSNY Newscast on YouTube, you probably wondered why I didn’t create a video on this topic, making assumptions and connections about a “Zootopia” inspired land, and it’s because it’s always better to have a little more information and multiple corroborated sources before jumping to conclusions.
So it seems that any thought of Zootopia at Animal Kingdom will have to reside to wishful thinking for the time being.
