Mickey’s turning 90 years old, and as part of this celebration around the world, Disneyland Paris will be receiving this attraction which many Walt Disney World guests already know and love. And yes I said “Love” there, because in my opinion there is nothing quite like a short wait time to enjoy watching Donald Duck create mayhem in modern Disney classics.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is nearly identical to the show that can be seen in the Magic Kingdom, however it has had new French lyrics introduced into some of the musical sequences instead, which is a regular occurrence in Disneyland Paris of a 50/50 split between English and French in attractions and shows.
On top of this, Mickey’s PhilharMagic can be found at the back of Space Mountain in the Discoveryland Theatre, which has been home to “Honey, I Shrunk The Audience” and “Captain EO”, but most recently, it has been used to play “Path of The Jedi” during Disneyland Paris’ Season of The Force.
However great it is to see this theatre being used again, it does strike me as a little odd that such an incongruence attraction would be in the Jules Verne inspired Discoveryland. The reason why this is key, is that the Star Wars overlay to Space Mountain has seemingly become permanent, and so it will be interesting to see how long Mickey’s PhilharMagic lasts within the Discoveryland Theatre.

October 1, 2018So guests in Disneyland Paris are only seeing the central screen of this attraction and not the entire 3-screen long wide sequences as seen in Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. Seems they rushed this project into this theater without investing in the full show. Did they even install the Donald Duck audio animatronic in the back of the theater?

October 1, 2018I find it odd that somebody decided to stand in front of the camera, blocking a specific portion of the screen. And nobody told them to sit down? That’s just strange to me.

October 1, 2018Welcome to Disneyland Paris… I would have definitely told them to sit down.. it’s either that or DLP Welcome were trying to film it from a very low angle, hiding the camera, as CMs are very hot on recording shows in Disneyland Paris. Which is counterproductive, as every video on YouTube of DLP is an advert for the resort.

October 1, 2018Parents allow children to stand on their seats without regards to those behind them but ultimately I blame the Cast members for not enforcing basic safety and consideration from guests for the enjoyment of everyone.
