With three young children — eight, six, and two — running around my house, all three Disney channels remain staples. But this morning, as I perused D23.com, I have an extra special reason to watch Disney Junior with everyone.
“There’s a great, big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day…”
The Sherman brothers’ penned their classic song for the Carousel of Progress at the 1964–65 New York World’s Fair, a musical representation of Walt Disney’s vision of an optimistic future—a vision that is also very much at the heart of Disney Junior’s Mission Force One and its predecessor, Miles from Tomorrowland. “There’s a Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow” was featured in a special episode of the animated series back in May, and now a music video of the song makes its debut today. But this one ain’t for me, and I am appreciative of an additional avenue by which to spread my love of the Sherman Brothers classic to my children (who are not exactly clamoring to ride “The Carousel of Progress”)!
