It looks like Disney’s pulling out the big guns for its sequel to its 2013 smash hit 3D animated musical fantasy movie, Frozen.
The Hollywood Reporter has a new update on the highly anticipated Frozen 2, and according to the publication, the studio has just tapped Oscar-nominated Hidden Figures screenwriter Allison Schroeder to help write the script for the sequel alongside Jennifer Lee, the film’s co-director.
Though Lee will remain the primary writer of Frozen 2, she’ll be now collaborating with Schroeder, who also wrote the screenplay for Disney’s Christopher Robin.
Some might think this means there’s trouble in the production. However, Frozen 2’s release date is more than a year away from now, meaning that Disney may simply want a fresh set of hands to help pen the script for the film. After all, two hands are better than one…
Other than the addition of Schroeder, there have been very few updates regarding the production of Frozen 2.
All fans know right now, is that the plot of the Frozen sequel centers around the original movie’s three human leads, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff. Other actors, like Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood, have been added to the film’s cast, and Internet rumors say
Frozen 2 is set for release on November 29, 2019.
